Sleep - Overrated!!

You get in the zone of lack of sleep and realize that you can still function somewhat so you fill yourself with that knowledge. You then convince yourself that it must be true because you can't think hard enough to convince yourself otherwise. -- Scott Cowan.

Wikipedia defines 'Sleep' as a naturally recurring state characterized by reduced or absent consciousness, relatively suspended sensory activity, and inactivity of nearly all voluntary muscles.Well, that says it all!! 'Reduced or absent Consciousness'. Our health Gurus tell us time and again how sleep is important and how much our body needs that rest, but practically, is sleep really all that necessary??

How many of us can proudly say I slept 9 hours today?? Don't you think you've lost precious time?? English says, 'Time and tide wait for none' then why waste time? You're probably wondering why I'm justifying sleeping less.. it so happens I believe sleeping really is a waste of my time.Those lovely hours past midnight, the peace and quiet, the lonely feeling is all that inspires me and my creative mind.Some soothing music, an interesting read and a light mid night snack is all you need to make the night special.

I believe 24 hours in a day will be just enough if you really want it to be!!There's nothing that cannot fit in to your day and my way out of it is to stay up as late as possible.. after all, sleeping is something you can do whenever you want!!Life will not wait for you!!
